Moon goddess
On their trade trips to the east, the Vikings stopped off on the Finnish coast to trade weapons and jewelry for furs. Drawing on Viking influences on their jewelry making, the Finns added a distinct Finnish style. These pieces inspired later designers to create jewelry which captures the spirit of the Vikings. The Moon Goddess was designed during the 40s by Germund Paaer taking advantage of the most beautiful Viking ornaments.
